Not at the moment. Maybe once I have ridden a few novice tests and done quite well in them, I might be more confident to criticise others but at the moment, my dressage needs improvement - only been doing it for 2 years and still in prelim. I've only ridden about 5 shows.

Ok, but if you watch a lot, you can develope the eye, and good on you for doing so many shows is so short a time. I know riders that have being doing dressage for 10 years and still dont have the confidance to goto a show. Remember, its not criticm, its your opinion of the execution of the movement at that time wayed against the experience of seeing it done correctly. Taking in consideration the level of the horses schooling.

The day is approaching when I'm going to have to stop riding but will want to remain involved in the sport, so that would be something to keep me actively involved.

depends on if the horse comes to me or I go to the horse and for how many weeks and how many times a week. Pm me I try and keep the cost down and realistic, as I know alot of people cant afford top instruction and training. Some trainers prices have gotten rediculously expensive. We are here to teach and impart knowlegde for the better of the horse, not just personal benifit. My way of thinking anyhow.

Unfortunatley a rearing horse rearranged my spine for me and there will be a point in time where the bone will have to be fused. Becuase of the position of the break, I will not be able to continue riding after this is done. But, until it is done, I am going to be enjoying every moment I can doing what I love.

D in Dec 2004 I fractured my back in three places by a horse going over backwards with me. I 4 months resting and going to my chinese doctor and a chiropracter in pretoria that has combind chiropractry with energy work, something like kynesiology or Reiki and something els. Any how, I went for exray's last july for an insurance thing and the fractures had healed to such an extent that they couldnt see any sign of them any more. If you want their numbers ill send them, maybe they can help before you go for an OP.

Wow, I wonder if he has a counterpart in Cape Town. I had stress fracture in my spine about 8 or 9 years ago and couldnt ride for 2 years while it grew back together. Was only allowed to swim the crawl and walk ... it was torturous. Still not supposed to jump, but anyway ... My x-rays show how the bone has grown back together nice and thick, dense white on the x-ray but my back still hurts. Possibly muscle strain or muscle memory perhaps.
