the horse i am soon to own has big windgulls on her back legs, she has never been sore from them but is it still ok to jump a horse with windgulls? should i put certain boots on her back legs to help?? thank you!

Windgalls are pretty harmless & as long as you avoid fast work, they shouldn't cause a problem. They are normally caused if there is some sort of trauma to the joint, overwork on hard ground, excessive strain, poor leg or foot conformation or a combination of the above & are an over-secretion of fluid in the joints. I would hose her legs down after working her & maybe look at getting her a joint supplement. You can also have it drained if she dis sore when working/jumping but they do have a chance of reoccurring.
